Un nouveau rapport de l'OIT souligne le rôle clé de la protection sociale dans l'atténuation du changement climatique

GENÈVE (Nouvelles de l'OIT) – L'Organisation internationale du travail (OIT) publie un nouveau rapport sur le rôle clé que les systèmes de protection sociale peuvent jouer pour contrer l'impact du changement climatique et soutenir une transition juste.

Le Rapport mondial sur la protection sociale 2024-26 : Protection sociale universelle pour l'action climatique et une transition juste, offre également de nouvelles données sur le nombre de personnes dans le monde bénéficiant d'une forme de protection sociale. Il met en évidence certaines des principales lacunes de la couverture de protection sociale, notamment dans les pays qui sont parmi les plus touchés par le changement climatique.
