Un nuevo informe de la OIT destaca el papel clave de la protección social en la mitigación del cambio climático
El Informe Mundial sobre la Protección Social 2024-26: Protección Social Universal para la Acción Climática y una Transición Justa, también ofrece nuevas cifras sobre el número de personas a nivel mundial que se benefician de alguna forma de protección social. Destaca algunas de las principales brechas en la cobertura de protección social, especialmente en los países que se encuentran entre los más afectados por el cambio climático.
